Professor Randall Filer, PhD.

Randall K. Filer is Professor of Economics at Hunter College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). He is also visiting Professor of Economics and Senior Scholar at CERGE-EI, a joint workplace of Charles University and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. He is President of the CERGE-EI Foundation which raises funds to support economic education and research in Central and Eastern Europe and serves as Central European Coordinator of the Global Development Network.

A graduate of Haverford College, Filer received his PhD from Princeton Universioty and has previously taught at Brandeis University.

Professor Filer's research has appeared in leading economic journals including The American Economic Review and the Journal of Political Economy. His specializations include labour economics, financial economics and development and transition economies.
