The Hon. Justice Dr. Roger Errera (ret.)

Roger Errera is a former senior member of the French Conseil d’Etat, France’s Supreme Court for administrative law, and of the Conseil Supérior de la Magistrature, the body that vets judicial appointments.

Errera has taught extensively in France and abroad and is currently Professor at the Central European University in Budapest. He has been and is a regular visitor in Central and Eastern European countries, especially the Czech Republic and is an expert in the Council of Europe and in the European Commission.

Errera is the author of a number of essays and articles on public law, freedom of the press, and European law. He co-edited, with Jan Vladislav, Václav Havel’s political essays of 1989.
